Desert Rock Energy Project Receives its Determination of No Hazard from the US FAA

The Desert Rock Energy Project received from the Federal Aviation Administration “(FAA”) its Determination of No Hazard to Air Navigation (“DNH”). The FAA studied five structures, the stack, the two boiler buildings and the two cooling towers, to make its determination. This DNH became final on February 19, 2008, and no petition against the DNH was filed during the public comment period. The DNH is one of several permits Sithe Global is required acquire in order to build the 1500 MW power plant.
