Farmington, NM – The Desert Rock Energy Project's Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was made available on June 22, 2007. The comment period by regulation was to be 60-days but was extended another 30 days to allow individuals more time to comment. On October 9, 2007, that comment period ended. The BIA will now incorporate the comments into the Final Environmental Impact Statement. That document is expected to be available the second quarter of 2008.
